Even now, I remember standing there. Locked in a moment where the sky is aflame.
Where stars fall as tears, and screams darken the seas.
Where resignation rots the trees.
Where terror twists magicks into abominations.

그리고 나는 불타는 하늘을 올려다보고 있다
지금도 이 땅에서
하늘에서 쏟아지는 별은 슬픔, 바다를 더럽히는 것은 비탄
나무가 썩는 것은 체념 때문인가
공포가 익숙한 마법을 망가뜨린다──

それらは先ゆく者たちの絶望
かつて善き世界を目指し　果たせなかった者たちの
終わりを歌う唄だった――
Such is the lament of they who have gone before.
The song of they who tried and faild to create a better world. The song of the end.

天の果てに巣くうのは
もはや使い魔などではないのだろう

That which hides at the edge of the universe is no longer hope's creation.
It is hopelessness incarnate.

ゾディアークを創り出した
厚いエーテルでアーテリスを覆い
終末を遠ざけたのだ
That day, mankind saw half of its number sacrificed to bring forth Zodiark.
And covering the star is a shroud of aether, we forestalled the Final Days.

인간은 그날, 동포의 절반을 희생해서
조디아크를 만들어 냈다

종말을 막아낸 것이다

拭い去ることのできない悲嘆
もはや誰もが忘れていた　望まぬ死が
人を深く傷つけた
初めて知った痛みは　耐えがたく
それを知らなかったころ　輝かしき過日に
人々の心を縛りつけてしまった
Yet the cried echoed still…
We wept for innocence lost. Wailed for death inevitable.
A reality too terrible to bear…
And for too many, who sought comfort in gilded memories of joyful days and tranquil nights.
눈물과 탄식은 사라지지 않았다
모두가 잊고 있던, 원치 않는 죽음이
인간에게 지독한 상처를 입혔다
처음으로 알게 된 아픔은 힘겨웠다
그것을 몰랐던 시절, 빛나던 지난 날에

they were. To reclaim the perfect paradise we once had.

影なき国を創り得ない以上、

それぞれが答えを得ようとしている
なぜ命を与えられながら死にゆくのか
無力でも叫び問うているーー
In one fleeting moment, live come and go. Ever moving towards the unknown.
And in that fleeting moment, they cry for the answer to the question:
Why, given life, are they meant to suffer. To die…

눈 깜짝할 사이에 생명이 흘러간다
멈추지 않고 아직 보지 못한 곳으로 나아간다
매 순간마다 태어나고, 죽으면서
각자가 답을 얻으려 한다
왜 생명을 부여받으면서 죽어 가는지
무력하지만 외치며 물어본다──

不完全なる者は　それゆえに
終わらぬ探求の旅を続けるのだ
As fragmented, imperfect beings, yours is a never-ending quest.

불완전한 자는
끝나지 않는 탐구의 여행을 계속한다

終わりを知ってなお　立ち竦まぬ強さを
A quest to find your purpose, knowing your end is assured.

찾아라──
끝을 알고도 멈추지 않을 힘을

To find the strength to continue, when all strength has left you.
